In 2018, Fundashon Bon Intenshon introduces the first edition of a new annual festival: Festival di Pueblo, which will take place in the Breedestraat, Otrobanda on 2 July: Curacao Flag Day.
With the well-known and popular Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival, Curaçao International BlueSeas Festival, and Curaçao International Film Festival Rotterdam, Curaçao has by now earned a very nice international niche in hosting a variety of festivals which attract thousands of visitors to the island annually.

The Fundashon believes that a structural approach is required to truly develop young talent. When it comes to sports, it involves a lot more than just training. Curaçao Soccer Academy (CSA), started in 2012, is an invaluable after-school program designed to offer talented young soccer players between the ages of 9 and 13 the opportunity of becoming top athletes. At the Academy we want to help young talent to develop the personality of a top player by focusing on mentality, discipline and endurance. A top player must also be able to move in all kinds of social circles, that’s why the development of social skills is an important part of the CSA curriculum.

The Curaçao North Sea Jazz festival (CNSJ) is one of the most exciting programs sponsored by the Fundashon that ties in perfectly with its objectives. The international level of the festival and all of its top-shelf artists attract tens of thousands of visitors to the island, annually.

The Curaçao International Film Festival Rotterdam (Curaçao IFFR) is another Fundashon-organized attention grabber. With a high-quality selection of recent independent and innovative films, documentaries and short films from all over the world, Curaçao IFFR extends and reinforces the supply of films that can be seen in Willemstad, Curaçao. The film festival, set up at the initiative of Gregory Elias and organized by Fundashon Bon Intenshon in cooperation with the International Film Festival Rotterdam, seeks to inspire cinema-goers and young filmmakers from the region and to broaden the range of culture available on the island. For 22 years already, the foundation has been very active on all islands of the (former) Netherlands Antilles. But also in other countries, projects and youth are supported, mostly in the area of education, whether or not in combination with sports, cultural education and to support and improve the welfare of children.
